Welcome to Year 6!
In Year Six there are three classes;

- 6JC – Mr Crossland
- 6CW – Miss Weston
- 6CB – Ms Birdsall
- Miss Marr and Mrs Cutting support Year 6 as our teaching assistants
- Mr Quine is the PEO (pupil engagement officer) for Year 6

- Mrs Boden, Assistant Headteacher, is the phase leader for Year 6.
PE Days
Year 6 have P.E on a Wednesday and Thursday.
If ears are recently pierced then plasters or tape should be supplied in their bag and the children will apply this themselves.
Year 6 children are trusted to be able to take their own earrings out.
Homework
Homework is an essential part of your child’s learning and development as it reinforces key concepts and consolidates learning that has taken place in the classroom.
Maths, SPAG and spelling homework will be set on Google Classroom on a Monday and must be completed by Sunday (a printed copy is available if needed).
Spellings
Each Monday your child will be able to access the spellings on Google Classroom and there will be a test on Friday.
Reading
We would like your child to read to someone at home every night. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Friday.
