Welcome to Year 5!
In Year Five there are three classes;
- 5CB – Miss Blundell
- 5LS – Miss Shaw
- 5EW – Miss Walker
- Mrs Cattermole and Miss Kempster support Year 5 as teaching assistants.
- Mr Quine is the PEO (pupil engagement officer) for Year 5.
Mrs Boden, Assistant Headteacher, is the phase leader for Year 5.
PE Days
Year 5 have P.E on a Thursday and Friday.
If your child has pierced ears please make sure that earrings are taken out on a Monday or plasters are put on to cover them.
Homework
Homework is an essential part of your child’s learning and development as it reinforces key concepts and consolidates learning that has taken place in the classroom.
Maths and Spellings will be set on Google Classroom on a Friday (a printed copy is available if needed). The spellings test will take place on the following Thursday.
Reading
We would like your child to read to someone at home every night. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Friday.
